Terms and Conditions 

Not the most exciting part of any training journey, however please make sure you read through the terms and conditions before you arrive to your session. Any questions, please get in touch today.

Booking Policy

  • All booking requests must be made by a person aged over the age of 18 years
  • Failure to cancel your appointment before 24 hours notice results in your session being non refundable
  • A invoice will be sent to you once you have paid for the session to confirm booking
  • Cash is accepted. If you pay via cash, a paper and digital receipt will be given
  • Once booking has been confirmed, a booking confirmation email will be sent with the time, date and location
  • It is the client's responsibility to turn up to the session
  • After you have booked 10 sessions with Cognit Canines, you will receive the next session for free. This can be any combination of services, a loyalty card given to the client to keep track of the sessions. The client and cognit canines will retain a copy for records

Health and Safety

  • Children are invited to join the sessions, however the children/s behaviour is the parents/guardians responsibility
  • If a Junior Coaching session is booked, a parent must also attend the session
  • Please make sure your dog is fully up to date with all vaccinations and preventative treatment (worming and flea)
  • Please make sure your dog is microchipped under The Microchipping of Dogs (England) 2016 Act
  • If you dog falls unwell before the session, you must email Cognit Canines straight away. A refund will be issued if you dog falls unwell
  • If Cognit Canines feels your dog is not physically fit to complete the session, the client must take their dog to the vet
  • By taking part in any training session, the client is aware of the risks involved
  • Clients agree to keep their dog under control to their best of their ability at all times

Equipment

You may be unsure on what to bring to your session, you will be given some instructions prior but as a handy checklist: 

  • Collar and Lead
  • Tasty treats
  • Show equipment (you will be advised if you are unsure)
  • Harness if you prefer
  • Toys
  • Dog blanket/mat

The following equipment is not accepted at Cognit Canines due to welfare grounds: 

  • Electric shock collars
  • Pinch/prong collars

Photos and Video

From time to time you may be asked to become famous by Cognit Canines, with your permission photos and videos will be filmed of your progress. 

  • Full permission from the client to be able to use the footage on the website
  • Any photos or videos will used for the website or advertisement only
  • If any Young Handlers are filmed or photographed, full written permission must be granted by the parent/guardian.
